Navitabs Cloud: Support of Whiteboards, Databases, Folders, Smart Links & Quick Access to original page

With the latest update of Navitabs – Tabs for Confluence Cloud, you can now create tabs that include not just pages but also whiteboards, databases, folders, and smart links. And that’s not all. You can quickly jump to the original Confluence page from any tab by hovering over it. No more hunting around for the source material.

Let’s dive in and explore the latest new Navitabs features.

Support of Whiteboards, Databases, Folders and Smartlinks as tab content

Confluence is a powerful tool for collaboration, but it can become unmanageable when pages grow long or content is dispersed across multiple spaces. Navitabs offers a solution by allowing you to organize your content into easily digestible tabs.

Thanks to the latest release, Navitabs expands its capabilities to include a wider range of content types. You can now integrate Confluence whiteboards, databases, and smart links directly into your tabs. If you want to include folders as tabs, you can do so by selecting the option “Define a parent content.” When choosing a folder, all the subpages will be rendered as tabs.

Quick access to the original page from the macro

Let’s say you included an existing Confluence page as a tab and now you see that the original page has a mistake. Instead of manually searching for the original page, you can simply hover over the tab, and you will see a popup card with some page information. You can then go to the original Confluence page directly and make all the adjustments needed.

This feature allows you to access the page quickly, get the information on where it’s located, and go straight to the page’s edit mode.
