Introducing the Export Overview in Viewtracker

Introducing the new Export Experience

Introducing our new export experience in Viewtracker – Analytics for Confluence Cloud. This update makes exporting reports simpler, faster, and more reliable, especially when handling large amounts of data.

How Exports Work Now

In the latest release of Viewtracker, you will find a new Export Overview that shows the status of your export tasks. Whether an export is queued, in progress, or ready for download, you can see it clearly in one place. This allows you to continue working after starting an export. If you need to collect a large amount of data, you simply return to the overview and download the CSV file once it’s ready. Once an export is finished, the files are available for 48 hours and can be downloaded by the user any number of times.

Export options

You now have the option to export only the IDs of content and spaces instead of their names. This allows you to skip any sensitive details and speeds up the process. If you draw reports with content and space names, the file will take a little longer to create, as Viewtracker will check the user’s permissions to download the sensitive data.

You will see a list of all your exports in the last 48 hours.

Conclusion

The new export experience in Viewtracker is designed to improve your workflow. By generating exports in the background and offering clear status updates, we aim to save you time and help you adhere to guidelines regarding sensitive data. We hope you enjoy the improvements and welcome feedback as you use the new features.
